Here is my new (used) SPEC Stage III ceramic clutch.

The flywheel is a stock flywheel and has the same part number as the flywheel that came in my Z06 clutch package

(entire clutch package is part number 12570281). It weighs 23 pounds, 10 ounces.

The outer ring of the flywheel has some hot spots in it and more wear than the inner diameter. Dave (Cartek)

says that is because the stock flywheels are not machined flat across; the outer area sticks out further than the

inner sections, and therefore, wear out first. The top picture of this page shows the clutch disc with wear patterns mostly

on the outer edge because of this same reason.

This shows the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel installed.

The driveshaft on top is my new 3.5 inch heavy duty aluminum driveshaft from The Driveshaft Shop. The bottom driveshaft

is the stock 3 inch aluminum unit from my LS1 firebird. Both driveshafts weigh the same: 11 lbs 15 oz.
