i got a new z06 clutch package.
here's the deal:
it weighs almost 52 lbs.

Z06 clutches, part number 12570281, effective immediately on Monday, December
4th are no longer shipping until further notice. All orders for this number
from General Motors are on hold until there can be a resolution. Seems as they
have had a flood of orders for this part number and upon checking into it they've
found a pricing error. They've priced the part incorrectly and probably (I'm
guessing here) will change the part number again to accomodate the new price.
I did receive 3 of these clutches, which one was put in Mike's car here in the
shop and 2 were shipped out to gentleman in New Jersey. One was shipped Friday
and the other was shipped today. These 2 gentleman are very lucky to have received
what they did for the price they paid. There are a couple numbers here for the
Z06 clutch and I will explain..... 12561077 is no longer a good number, changes
to part number 12562609. The 12561077 number and the 12562609 number were not,
to my knowledge, Z06 clutches. The 12562609 number changed to 12562765 (Z06
clutch). The part numbers were again checked this evening with GM TRACKS 2000
to ensure correct info is given. The 12570281, new Corvette 2001 Z06 clutch,
was just released a couple weeks ago for 130 dollars to the public. Upon some
investigation, it turns out the 12570281 has the same clutch and pressure plate
(Z06) but has a lightened flywheel. This brings us to the current events. Today
GM has placed all orders for this number on hold, and as I stated before, will
probably be released under a new price and/or part number. Phoenix will be giving
out good prices on the new part number clutch (if there is a new number) to
you gentleman when this situation is resolved, meaning either a part number
change or price change. We still will give you good prices on other parts and
installation of the parts on a continual basis. Please call the dealership and
ask for myself or Chris if you'd like a price on anything else or we can help
