May 5, 2007 Pocono East with PDA

I only had like 10-15 minutes of track time before the power steering hose melted against the header and spit fluid ALL OVER THE MOTOR. Then I developed a misfire which I thought was related to all that fluid. Wrong. Two valve springs and two pushrod were broken! AAA towed me home. Cartek installed new Manley dual valve springs, chromoly hardened pushrods, titanium retainers, locks, viton valve seals and spring seat locators ($1000). Johann installed new power steering lines with a thermal heat sleeve/ foil covering to keep them cool. Oil temps were also way to high at almost 250 degrees. I will re-do cooling system shortly.
