7 runs on the tires for me and 7 for howie, and 90 miles roundtrip. Brings the total runs on these tires to 54, and 360 miles.

Video - "right click", and "save target as".

let the ranting begin.
My car was outclassed and my driving was outdriven.
But I still maybe could have won my class if the guy who won had stuck to the rules.

his car. 2004 Porsche GT3. $100k+ base.
stock weight 3100 lbs, his was 2900 lbs.
Moton remote resevoir shocks, carbon ceramic brakes, Factory European version racing seats, lightweight hood, no mufflers (to save weight), racing wheels with 335 rear tires, toyo RA1's all around. steeper gears, tighter posi/diff. He was last years class "U" champ. I was 05 champ.

He went in his normal session, which was the first session, and it was totally dry. his best CLEAN time was 47.89. He did go faster but hit a cone.
my session, was the 2nd session, after my first 2 runs, it started raining. it took me a few laps to get the line but on my last run, in the rain, i got my best, a 47.80. So I was in front at half time by the slimmest of margins.

3rd session comes and its still raining, and this is GT3's normal session to go. HE SITS IT OUT. So I was happy because I thought he called it a day.

4th sessions starts, raining begining to slow and its my turn to race. Only 2 runs in this session and I mess up the first one. Then I look and he's running in my session (the very last car) now that the rain has stopped. He turns a blistering 46.x and I'm pissed now. I let it get to me, and I messed up my last run, but still not sure if I could even hang with that. And now it stopped raining, and he gets his last run and goes 46.2.

After the event, I walk up to him, no one else around and say "I just want to get this off my chest and say I don't like that you skipped your normal session to avoid the rain." He says "oh well, my brakes don't work well in the rain." That is cheating. My tires don't work well in the rain either and I still have to race in it.
